Today’s Too cute to fur-get subject is lucky to have a patient and understanding human who supports her as she gains her confidence. This 3-year-old Pitbull terrier mix we call “Petra” came to WCHS on an out-of-state transport in May 2024. She was very shut down and not doing well in the kennel environment. She was adopted by her fosters after 6 months together.
“After adopting her in December, she’s come so far and is now full of energy and life. We have gotten to see her blossom and thrive. She is very friendly and now does well meeting new people. She is still shy at times but is improving every day. She can be stubborn and mischievous at times, but we love her just the same! Petra has made many big steps and will now take treats from our hands.”
Overall, Petra is a loving, gentle, curious, and fun girl. Her human reports “we are so happy Petra came into our lives, and we couldn’t ask for a better forever buddy. She has been everything we’ve needed and more.”
